The Local Public Agency (LPA) Training Program was developed and implemented jointly by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Louisiana Division, and the Louisiana Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP).
The main objective of the LPA Training Program is to enhance the efficiency of local transportation projects that rely on state and federal funding. The program supports local agency personnel by helping them understand and implement the requirements associated with these funding sources. The LPA Qualification Program consists of two training classes: (1) LPA Qualification Core Training and (2) LPA Qualification Training: Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CE&I).
