Results of ISHMII Survey

Results of the International Society of Structural Health Monitoring of Intelligent Infrastructure (ISHMII) Survey to Assess Relative Importance of Student Learning Outcomes

 

In an effort to ensure the relevance and relative importance of the stated student learning outcomes, we received the cooperation of ISHMII to invite members of their organization to judge the relative importance of the stated student learning outcomes as well as suggest additional outcomes. A total of 28 professionals responded to the invitation. The respondents were reasonably diverse in terms of their country of original (approximately 65% US and 35% other) and area of practice (approximately 65% academic and 35% other). Specific data on the demographics of the respondents are included in the results of the survey.

Based on the results of this survey, the project investigators concluded that the stated student learning outcomes were relevant and reasonably encompassed the important principles and practices of SHM.
